A hugely entertaining group of amateur storytellers gathered last night at articule as part of the launch of the Museum of Jewish Montreal’s oral history app.  The event, titled In Montreal (Not in Montreal), was in part an initiative of the Rosalind Goodman Cultural Institute of the Jewish Public Library with additional thanks to the Jewish Community Foundation’s support of MJM. This Week in JPL History: The Oral History Project

The mandate of the Jewish Public Library Archives is to preserve and make accessible the social history and cultural heritage of Jewish Montreal. It does this not only through the preservation of the tangible remnants of this history, but also by recording the memories and anecdotes of those in the community.
