About Us

The
Norman Berman Children's Library serves all
children from birth to 14 years of age. Membership
is $10 for the year.
There are over 30,000 items available in 5 languages: English, French, Hebrew, Yiddish, and Russian.
Three-quarters of the materials in the Children's Library consist of books, videos, audiocassettes, kits, magazines, and CD's (coming soon) which support the school curriculum and entertain the inquiring mind. A comprehensive Judaica collection forms 25% of the Library's holdings. Materials on the Jewish holidays, Jewish life and history, and the exciting world of Jewish storytelling and children's literature are unique to our collection.
Reference materials (dictionaries, encyclopedias, handbooks, atlases, etc.) are available on all subjects and in all languages to extend the information available to library patrons. The Library's automated system helps to access the Library collection quickly. |
