“Edge of Order” with Daniel Libeskind
Lecture with slide presentation

Daniel Libeskind will take us through his influential career as one of the world’s foremost architects, revealing the process and inspiration that has guided his acclaimed work. Inspired by the process of building and design, as well as an unexpected range of cultural influences, from Greek mythology to the Marx Brothers, Libeskind will give his audiences a chance to explore not only the career but also the mind of a master architect.

Libeskind’s slide talk will offer a retrospective of his oeuvre and inspire audiences to find new dimensions to their own creativity in work and life. He will also discuss his thinking and motivation with regard to the Jewish Museum in Berlin and his thoughts on building libraries in the 21st century.

Daniel Libeskind is one of the foremost architects of our time, a self-proclaimed rebel celebrated for innovative, site-conscious designs, including the Jewish Museum Berlin and New York’s World Trade Center redevelopment. He has also emerged as one of architecture’s most visible public ambassadors.

Introduced by Gerald Soiferman, JPL Past President and architect.
